An editor designed for small screens, not squeezed onto them.

A desktop interface doesn't become a mobile interface just because it fits on the screen. Sidebars take over the page, toolbars hide the content, and controls that feel compact on a laptop become awkward on a phone.

Mobile UI is designed around the screen you have. The page stays front and center, while controls appear only when you need them. Bottom sheets replace permanent sidebars, tools are grouped into focused views, and the interface gets out of the way as quickly as it can.

It's not about spending all day designing on your phone. It's about the moments when your phone is already in your hand. Fixing a typo, adjusting a heading that wraps badly, or making a small change during a meeting becomes something you do immediately instead of adding to tomorrow's to-do list.

Phone workspace is in.

The properties panel is full screen now instead of squeezed into a sidebar. Add and menu open as bottom sheets from the corner buttons, same as the site menu. The page title also drops down to caption size to free up a bit more room for the artboard.

Panning is bounded now, so you can't fling the artboard off the screen. Browser pinch zoom is disabled while you're in design mode since it was fighting the canvas for the same gesture.

Desktop picked up one change from this too. The menu now opens the same sheet instead of having a separate UI that did the same thing.

Still more to do here. If something feels awkward, now's a good time to say so.
