Teams. Give everyone the right access.

19 August 2026
Invite people to a project and choose what they can do. Viewers can review, managers can run the project, writers can change content, and editors can edit everything.

You can now invite your whole team to a Pixy project without giving everyone the same level of access.

Add someone by email, choose their role, and the project will appear in their account when they sign in. There's no invitation to accept or extra setup to go through.

There are four roles:

  • Viewer can open the site, follow the work, and leave comments.
  • Manager can run the project without editing the design itself. They can work with the agent, manage pull requests and agent keys, invite members, create shared links, and start Live sessions.
  • Writer can work on the content. They can edit text, typography, images, and pages without getting access to the whole canvas.
  • Editor can edit everything.

The project owner always has full access.

You can change someone's role at any time from the Members section. You can also turn someone you've already sent a shared link to into a project member by changing their access from guest to one of the project roles.

Roles and plans work together

A role decides what someone is allowed to do in your project. Their Pixy plan sets the maximum access their account can have.

That means inviting someone as an editor doesn't automatically give them editor access if their plan doesn't include it. Free accounts can join as viewers, Manager accounts as managers, Writer accounts as writers, and Pro and Studio accounts as editors.

So an invitation can limit someone's access, but it can't upgrade their account.

Manager and Writer seats are also out of preview and available for $10 and $19 per month.

The same permissions carry through the rest of the project. Team comments stay on the canvas, while instructions for the agent require manager access. Undo and redo only affect your own changes, so you won't accidentally undo something a teammate just changed.

Open a project, find Members, and invite your team.
