Removing a project removes everything

14 August 2026
When you delete a project, everything associated with it is deleted too. That includes its edits, history, requests, AI conversations, API keys, uploaded files, and active browser connections.

Deleting a project should do exactly what you expect.

Whether it's a finished client project, a prototype you no longer need, or a project with credentials you want to replace, deleting it shouldn't leave old data behind or active browser sessions that still think they're connected.

When you delete a project from your account, Pixy permanently removes everything that belongs to it. That includes edit history, requests, AI agent conversations, API keys, browser authorizations, uploaded images, and the files behind them. Once the project is gone, none of its data remains.

If the project is open in another browser tab, that page is updated immediately. The editor closes, and you'll see a message explaining that the project has been removed and that changes are no longer being saved. Reloading the page opens the website normally, without the editor or any project data.

The same notification appears if you regenerate a project's credentials. Instead of silently losing the connection, the editor tells you what happened before disconnecting, so it's always clear why editing has stopped.

You can manage or delete your projects from your account. The Projects guide explains what data each project contains.
