Remove and restore elements by dragging them off the page

12 August 2026
Drag elements off the artboard to remove them from the page, then drag them back to restore them.

Removing an element is now as simple as dragging it off the page.

When an element is moved outside the artboard, it's removed from the page and placed on the pasteboard instead of disappearing completely. It remains visible and can be dragged back onto the page at any time.

Dragging an element back inside the artboard restores it exactly as it was, reversing the removal without creating a new element or losing its state.

Elements created in Pixy behave slightly differently. Moving one onto the pasteboard removes it from the page while keeping it available as a reusable item on the canvas.

The element's location is preserved with your edits, so after reloading the page everything remains exactly where you left it, whether it's on the page or waiting on the pasteboard.

Open a page from your project and drag something over the edge.
