Design is easier when you can try different ideas without losing your current work.
You might want to compare a few hero sections, try a more ambitious layout, or review a client's suggestion without changing the version you're happy with. Instead of keeping everything in one draft, you can now create separate versions inside the same project.
Every project starts with a version called Main. You can create a new version from scratch or clone your current one. A cloned version is a complete copy, so you can experiment freely without affecting the original. You can rename versions at any time and delete the ones you no longer need.
Switching between versions is instant. The page doesn't reload, so if you've opened a menu or scrolled to a particular section, it stays exactly as it is. Only your edits change. Each version has its own edits, drafts, and undo history, so work in one version never affects another.
Versions are for your own design work. When you send changes to your AI agent, you choose exactly what to include. Unfinished ideas in other versions aren't sent unless you decide they should be.
If you share a link to a version, anyone who already has access to the editor can open that exact version. Pixy also remembers which version you were working on, so reopening the site brings you back where you left off.
Versions are intentionally simple. They aren't branches, and they don't merge. Once you clone a version, the two are completely independent. Explore as many ideas as you like, then keep the one that works best and delete the rest.
